The women’s field at Berlin Marathon is on fire this year, stacked with serious talent and massive potential, say the race organisers.

Rosemary Wanjiru from Kenya is back where it all began! She made a stunning marathon debut in Berlin (2:18:00), went on to win in Tokyo, and clocked a new PB of 2:16:14 earlier this year. She’s only getting stronger.

Ethiopia’s Degitu Azimeraw is a proven force on the world stage. With a standout 2:17:58 in London, she’s ready to challenge the best.

Mestawut Fikir, also from Ethopia, impressed with a debut win in Paris and shaved off time in Berlin with a powerful 2:18:48. She’s clearly on the rise – and far from done.
