BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas
Sun 6 December 2026
Some races stay with you for the challenge they present, others for the experience beyond the finish line.
Singapore offers you both – in one of the world’s unique cities.
It is a city defined by motion. A fast-moving urban landscape where glass towers, coastal roads, and everyday routines exist side by side. Once a year, that motion shifts onto the streets as the city becomes the stage for one of the region’s most anticipated running weekends.
The ‘BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas’ is Singapore’s only national marathon, featuring Southeast Asia’s only World Athletics Gold Label Road Race in 2026. The race is known for its heat and humidity, making it a natural draw for runners in search of a tropical challenge to tick off their bucket list. Adding to this year’s excitement, a new organiser is taking charge, with plans to elevate it into a standout fixture among Asia’s top races.
Taking place from 4 to 6 December it begins with the 5km Race, an accessible and high-energy introduction to the event, followed by the Standard Chartered 10km – a thrilling night race for those looking to push the pace. The adidas Half Marathon offers a longer test of endurance through Singapore’s urban landscape, while the BYD Marathon stands as the flagship distance and ultimate endurance challenge of the weekend.
Alongside these individual races, the EFGH National Championships are also set to take place on 5 and 6 December, uniting Singapore’s fastest athletes to compete for the country’s most prestigious distance titles.
The route is framed by some of Singapore’s most recognisable landmarks, including the bustling Marina Bay, the scenic Singapore River and the world-renowned Gardens by the Bay. Along the way, runners move through a mix of modern cityscapes and heritage pockets that reflect Singapore’s layered urban identity.
For those travelling in, the marathon weekend naturally extends into exploration. Beyond the race routes, Singapore offers cultural enclaves like Chinatown and Kampong Gelam, the retail stretch of Orchard Road, and leisure escapes in Sentosa. The city’s efficient transport network makes it easy to navigate, allowing the weekend to flow seamlessly between running and discovery.
The ‘BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas’ is a race weekend that sits within a larger city experience. If you’re looking for an iconic race that doubles as a travel experience, this is it.
